Introduction

Al Karamah Training Institute strives to be a world class centre of excellence for autism, which provides outstanding education and care in a safe, positive, and stimulating environment that enables each young person to excel in life. Al Karamah Training Institute is creating a world of opportunities for autistic learners and aims to be aspirational, positive, enjoyable, friendly, courageous, and innovative.

We celebrate diversity and allow all members of this community to develop an understanding and recognition of these differences.  Al Karamah Training Institute (AKTI) is located in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and it has been designed to empower Autistic individuals on their journey to reach positive destinations in adult life. 

 Preparing for adulthood at AKTI involves;

• Higher Education and/or employment – exploring different employment options, such as support for becoming self-employed and help from supported employment agencies.
• Independent living – this means young people having choice, control and freedom over their lives and the support they have, their accommodation and living arrangement, including supported living.
• Participating in society – including having friends and supportive relationships, and participating in, and contributing to, the local community.
• Being as healthy as possible in adult life.

AKTI supports students between the ages of 14-25 years.

Students develop their maths, English and Arabic functional skills and work towards UK accredited training courses with recognised qualifications from UK awarding bodies.  This currently includes Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network (ASDAN) and National Open College Network (NOCN)

We provide and explore different employment options, supporting students in their next steps beyond AKTI.
