Governance is a fundamental element of ensuring that Al Karamah School and Training Institute (AKS/AKTI) provides the best possible outcomes for the young people we care for and educate. AKS and AKTI has developed a Governance Structure that strives to provide the best possible outcomes for the young people we work with. Governance Meetings
The Principal attends weekly meetings with the senior managers of Priory-Aspris to update on live operational issues within the school and report on the ongoing safe management of the service and quality of education and care delivered.
As part of the wider Aspris Governance Framework, The School Principal, COO and Director of Quality & Compliance attend a Quality and Safety Review monthly with the CEO Aspris. This meeting will also be attended by the UK Director of Risk and Governance and will hold local management to account for the quality and safety of the school and institute.
Will Goodwin, COO Priory Aspris Middle East, chairs a termly Governance meeting, and is supported by the Director of Quality and Compliance and the Education Development Director, along with the Director of Students of Determination from ADEK. The Principal and Vice Principal, supported by the Senior Leadership Team, present a governance report.
The Chairperson of ADEK convenes regular Oversight Committee meetings.
