Safer Internet Day at Our School
As part of our commitment to digital wellbeing, we recently celebrated Safer Internet Day with a range of interactive activities focused on helping our students understand how to stay safe online.
Throughout the day, children explored the importance of protecting personal information when using the internet. They learned key safety messages, such as not sharing passwords, avoiding the use of real names or addresses, and thinking carefully before posting online.
One of the most exciting activities was designing their own avatars, which allowed pupils to represent themselves creatively without revealing their physical identity. This sparked incredible imagination and individuality across the classes!
Students also took part in a fun and engaging discussion about different online scenarios. They reviewed a variety of visual prompts and made decisions about whether the actions shown were safe or unsafe — for example, "Is it safe to share your favourite food?" or "Should you tell someone your password?"
The day was not only educational but also enjoyable, and our pupils left feeling more confident about how to navigate the online world safely and responsibly.
