English and Maths

Al Karamah Training Institute provides learners with opportunities for enjoyment and achievement through a differentiated curriculum matched to abilities, interests, aptitudes and needs. Our English and Maths curriculum programmes of Study have been developed to support pupils to improve communication skills so that they can interact with other people, make choices, follow instructions, and access the key concepts needed for learning. The English and Maths curriculum Programmes of Study have been developed to support pupils to:

• Establish key skills in numeracy with a focus on number skills used in the workplace.
• Develop reading and writing skills which can be used across all curriculum subjects.
• Achieve a NOCN qualification in English and Maths through the completion of appropriate units.
