Our Students

We treat every student at Al Karamah as an individual. Which is why we carefully assess the abilities and learning needs of every child to determine the right class level so they can thrive.

Little Champions

Our Little Champions are students that require highly skilled staff to ensure they are redirected when their concentration wanes. Teachers for this group are quick to initiate support, are adept at pitching appropriate tasks and are highly alert to our students’ individual needs. These classes have a high staff ratio to ensure pupils make significant gains in achievement in individualised targets and gain confidence as they acclimatise to classroom expectations.

Transition

Our Transition students learn how to form meaningful friendships and improve their social skills. Students benefit from excellent support including that of experienced therapists and teachers who are quick to adapt and individualise student tasks in order to improve learning outcomes.

As a direct result, many students are able to access learning activities successfully and make sustained progress in a variety of subjects.

Explorers

Students often join Explorers with low academic starting points, having missed lengthy spells in their schooling or perhaps the manner in which they have been taught in the past may have not effectively supported them to learn.  Due to robust baseline assessment and support students quickly settle and start to make rapid progress in a range of subjects. As a result during their time at al Karamah School many students catch up and attain as well as their nationally achieving peers.  Many will gain a range of passes in their chosen GCSE subject/s with standards expected to rise year on year.
